The briefing
More and more people are turning to sustainable energy – a powerful social shift that’s shaking up the energy market. At exactly this moment, rhenag – one of Germany’s most established energy providers – set out to position its solar solutions as a leading product in the market.

- The challenge:
How can we make rhenag stand out in the crowded solar market – and more than that, turn it into a brand that feels modern, approachable, and relevant?
The goal: Gain market share in the residential solar segment and win over new customers with a campaign that is emotional, easy to understand, and impossible to miss.

The idea
"Become a One-Man Band."
We leaned into a clever double meaning:
In German, the term “Alleinunterhalter” refers both to solo entertainers – and to households that generate their own electricity.

The concept brings a smile while delivering a strong message:
👉 When you choose rhenag solar, you take the lead in your own energy story – independent, self-sufficient, and sustainable.

The Execution
Musicians with guitars, saxophones or keyboards stand on solar-powered roofs, becoming the unexpected stars of the energy revolution.

The look: sun-drenched, optimistic, and sprinkled with charm.

Key Visuals & Campaign Assets:
– Out-of-Home: Billboards, city lights, regional poster placements
– Digital: Social media ads, a dedicated landing page, newsletter banners
– Website: Full campaign integration on rhenag.de, including an interactive solar consultation tool
– Sales Support: Informational materials for use in personal consultations

The result
The campaign didn’t just catch eyes – it generated strong leads for solar consultations.
rhenag sharpened its positioning in the solar sector, communicated in a friendly and relatable tone – and established itself as a modern energy partner in the region.

The idea was a hit – internally and externally – and proved highly adaptable across all relevant touchpoints.
